BackThe cloudscale Knowledge Base
At cloudscale, we are constantly improving and expanding our cloud offerings. We usually keep you informed about new features and tips right here – in a news article and, if you like, via email as well. But over time, this information tends to get pushed down the list. This is why, starting now, you will find information and guidance about our offerings in our new, topic-based knowledge base.
Always up to date
When we highlight a new feature in our news section, we usually also provide you with tips on how to use it in practice. And surprisingly often, what was "new" back then remains relevant for many years; however, sometimes individual aspects change, or additional options become available. It is not always clear from the chronologically sorted news section whether a piece of information is still valid or not.
This is why our knowledge base takes a deliberately different approach: We keep the entries up to date so that they always reflect the facts and circumstances and provide you with the best possible support in your work. To ensure maximum transparency, each entry displays the date of the last update; however, the idea is that you can trust the content of our knowledge base to be up to date regardless of that date.
Quick access to the relevant information
Questions about our offerings often relate to a specific service or feature. This is why some of the categories in the knowledge base directly correspond to certain sections of the cloud control panel, such as "Compute", "Storage", and "Networking", which are often referred to as the three pillars of cloud computing. Similarly, the "Objects" and "Billing" categories correspond to the sections of the same name in the control panel. We have also taken care to ensure the visual design is as recognizable as possible – so when a question comes up while you are working with your cloud resources, you can find the right answer more quickly.
Other categories, such as "Security" or "Compliance", bring together information that is not necessarily related to a specific product or feature. If, for example, you have an audit coming up or are handling inquiries from your own customers, you will find the answers you need here. Take, for instance, the increasingly important question about location: Yes, we do indeed operate all of our infrastructure exclusively in Switzerland.
Over the years, we have compiled a vast collection of helpful resources – whether in the form of tips you can view directly in the control panel, content in news articles, the engineering blog, or elsewhere on our website, and, of course, as responses to individual support requests. Our goal is to progressively make this knowledge available in the new knowledge base – consolidated and accessible in one place – and to continuously expand it. Check it out!
Sharing knowledge with you.
